If you know what you're doing, you can literally turn any garment into a full-on look. You also don't have to spend a lot of money to look chic and fabulous! I primarily shop Amazon (ready to wear/fast fashion) and secondhand retail.
My wearing vs styling series will continue indefinitely to help you out with some style ideas! Today's topic - jumpsuits. Ah, the jumpsuit. Such a formidable garment to so many people. I can't tell you how many times a week I hear clients who are scared of jumpsuits. And you know what? I used to be too.....until I finally gave it a shot and figured out how to style them. Now, they are one of my absolute favorite things to wear, especially in the spring and summer! (Let's be honest though; anything is my favorite thing to wear in spring and summer, because the heat is my favorite, lol.)
Jumpsuits are so comfortable and literally the easiest one-and-done outfit ever. You'll basically feel like you're wearing PJs but look like you just stepped out of the latest issue of Vogue.
Some key things to keep in mind when styling jumpsuits -
Make sure the length is appropriate to your height, just like any other pant. My personal preference is ending around my ankle. But wearing a wide that just touches the floor is ok as well.
ALWAYS pair them with a belt! You want to accentuate that waist with a jumpsuit or it will distort your proportions.
You can wear them casually or dressier - the type of shoe is what will determine the look!
In winter you can pair them up with a cardigan, blazer, jacket, etc.
Alright, let's dive into a winter jumpsuit idea with wearing vs styling! And remember, you can now shop all the pieces I feature in my blog!
A note on my measurements, as of this posting:
Size: L/12-14
Height 5'3 1/2"
Bust 38
Waist 32

Pair with tights under (can be as warm or sheer as needed), a belt over the middle, cute shoes, and a cardigan! Don't forget your jewelry/accessories.
